Job Overview
SafetyGrip Solutions have immediate vacancy for a workshop labourer to help and assist our operations team through a busy period. Candidates should be physically fit and be able to demonstrate ability to work within a industrial environment, previous experience would be beneficial but not essential.
Labourer Duties:
- General housekeeping of workshop areas / site.
- Use of high pressure water jetting / washing system.
- Assisting when needed with the manufacturing process.
- Moving materials around workshops, filling skips.
- Undertaking basic routine maintenance of equipment.
- Operating various industrial equipment / tooling for material preparation.
- Manual handling / Forklift Operations
- Occasional driving duties / local deliveries in company vehicles
Requirements
- Prior experience or familiarity with workshop environment is advantageous.
- Good level of physical fitness with the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Candidate must be punctual, show strong work ethic and hold good communication skills
- A proactive attitude towards health & safety practices whilst on site.
- Forklift certificate desirable but not essential.
- Clean driving licence
The position can be physically demanding at times, therefore candidate must be fit and capable of physical strenuous work. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a good work ethic and be comfortable working within a small team as well as working on their own.
Our site location not regularly served by public transport so driving licence & vehicle would be advantageous.
Immediate start required, an initial 3-6 month term which may lead to permanent role.
