Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Gym Member Care/Housekeeper to join our team.
Primarily we are looking for full weekend availability covering the hours 7am until 9pm (7/8 hour shifts). Additional hours may be available through the week.
This role involves maintaining a clean and welcoming environment within our fitness centre while providing excellent customer service to our members. The ideal candidate will be organised, reliable, and possess experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a positive gym atmosphere and support our members' health and wellbeing.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning and sanitisation of gym facilities, including changing rooms, workout areas, reception, and communal spaces
- Ensure all equipment, surfaces, and floors are kept hygienic and well-maintained
- Restock supplies such as towels, toiletries, and cleaning products as needed
- Assist with member care by addressing enquiries courteously and professionally
- Maintain organisation of cleaning schedules and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure a safe environment for staff and members
- Support with light administrative tasks related to cleanliness records or member feedback
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail with organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour when interacting with members
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and punctuality
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning procedures is advantageous

Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
