25.5 hour per week: Mon 8-1.30, Wed & Fri 8-6.30
About The Role
The reception team consists of circa 30 staff who work on a rota basis across our 3 sites undertaking a mixture of front desk reception and back office work working closely with the clinical team as well as patients in a busy and varied role.
You would be joining an experienced team of receptionists committed to providing a positive patient experience reporting into our Receptions Supervisors and ultimately into the Patient Services Manager.
About You:
We seek a special kind of person for our reception team; caring, empathetic individuals who are professional, patient and kind, committed to contributing towards a positive working culture and motivated by helping patients and from all walks of life through difficult times.
Our receptionists enjoy being busy and have a flexible approach. They are positive and helpful and able to communicate professionally. They have excellent face to face and telephone manner along with great admin skills.
Because we work in a highly regulated environment, a respect confidentiality and compliance is imperative and all of our colleagues are DBS checked.
Our preference for candidates to have 12 months recent reception and admin skills gained in a healthcare setting (NHS: GP or hospital), but we may be able to consider individuals with good transferable skills.
You must have English and Maths to GSCE standard, and an excellent level of written and spoken English along with a clear and concise speaking voice and polite telephone manner.
Of equal importance are; IT skills including Microsoft office, fast and accurate data entry and keyboard skills, experience of working with the general public in a customer facing role and the ability to work cohesively as a team member as well as autonomously and without constant supervision.
