Overview
Support the development of route building maintenance and renewal requirements in accordance with the technical asset management strategy and communicate them with delivery organisations. Manage and update the live Buildings Renewals Business Plan & Integrated Station Plans. Act as sponsor for renewal schemes and manage the investment authority process. Manage the CRI/fault management reporting to ensure CRI and financials target are met. Manage the workbanks for the Buildings inspection programmes.
Your Main Responsibilities will be to
- Manage the asset stewardship and inspection of operational property building fabric assets in accordance with asset policy and technical strategy, recommending remedial and renewal works and maintain comprehensive asset history records.
- Develop and assist with the management of prioritised maintenance and renewal requirements, workbanks and plans in accordance with the technical asset management strategy and budget.
- Produce maintenance and renewal remits and manage their inclusion in the workbank. Oversee the development and implementation of schemes, verifying requirements are sufficient, correctly interpreted and delivered. Specify and monitor the implementation of control measures where proposed works are deferred.
- Act as sponsor for complex and specialist maintenance and all renewal schemes. Discharge all sponsor¿s accountabilities in accordance with corporate policy.
- Carry out engineering analysis and risk assessment of maintenance and renewals schemes during the early development phase, producing business cases where appropriate.
- Provide operational property engineering remits for enhancement schemes and support the operational property engineering acceptance of enhancements.
- Review proposals from other asset groups or external organisations that impact on maintenance or renewal activity, identify potential synergies and develop optimised plans as applicable.
- Monitor trends in maintenance and renewal work, asset condition, failure and failure precursors. Check that appropriate action is specified to predict and prevent similar failures.
- Provide engineering support and participate in investigations of incidents relating to building fabric maintenance and renewals.

Salary: This role is a Band 4C £43,588 - £53,167 per annum.

You will ideally have
- HND/HNC or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject
- Significant relevant experience of operational property engineering
- Knowledge of policies and standards relating to operational property
- Working towards membership of a relevant professional institution
