We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-driven Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team, specialising in super-prime residential projects. This is a key role focused on the financial management and cost control of high-end construction schemes from concept through to completion. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical capability, commercial insight, and a meticulous approach to project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates covering materials, labour, and overheads.
- Manage and monitor project budgets throughout the lifecycle, ensuring alignment with financial targets.
- Work closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to provide informed cost advice and commercial support.
- Track project progress and generate regular financial reports, flagging risks or variances as needed.
- Assist in compiling tender documentation and assessing contractor and supplier bids.
- Negotiate and administer contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure optimal terms.
- Ensure compliance with contractual, legal, and regulatory obligations, as well as quality and H&S standards.
Required Experience & Skills
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline is essential.
- Proven experience in managing costs for super-prime or prime residential projects in London.
- Experience in cost control within an architectural or design-led environment is highly advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical and financial data.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Familiarity with cost estimation tools and project management software is a plus.
