Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils.
- Assist chefs and cooks with food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring that all ingredients are ready for use.
- Keep kitchen equipment and appliances clean and in good working order.
- Help with the storage of food items, ensuring proper labelling and rotation to minimise waste.
- Dispose of waste and recycling appropriately to maintain a hygienic work environment.
- Support the team during busy service periods by assisting with various tasks as required.
- Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality setting is advantageous but not essential; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
- A basic understanding of culinary practices and food preparation techniques is beneficial.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
