We are looking for a catering Assistant to join our friendly Facilities team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in food and quality. High standards of hygiene and presentation across our kitchen, serving area and dinning hall, supporting students, staff and visitors.
Your work will make a real difference by ensuring our environments reflect the care and quality that define Henshaws, helping people to thrive and feel valued.
Salary: £12.89 per hour/£11,544.28 per year
Hours: Monday – Friday 9.30 am-1.30 pm
Hours per week: 20
Weeks per year: 38 (term time)
Contract: Permanent
Location: Henshaws Specialist College

We are looking for someone who:

Has experience in food preparation, infection control, or relevant practical experience

Can maintain a high level of standards and work efficiently while paying attention to detail

Is self-motivated and able to work on their own initiative

Has good communication skills and a respectful, friendly attitude

Food handling and serving

Understands the importance of health and safety and hygiene standards

You will need to complete an enhanced DBS check with child barring. Training will be provided, and we welcome applications from all sections of the community
