Experienced Nanny/Housekeeper required for busy young family located in a semi-rural location close to Halstead. This is a full time role, Monday - Friday, 7.30am - 6.30pm during school holidays where you will be looking after 3 lovely children ages 7, 10 and 12. The children are all at the same school so the hours during term time will be over 3 days rather than 5.
During term time the position will be school runs and carrying out housekeeping, such as cleaning, washing and ironing. Food preparation and maybe a little baking. The 2 dogs would love a walk too! generally assisting the family where needed.
The ideal person will be reliable, flexible and kind with a genuine love of working with small children. The ability to cook healthy, delicious meals for the children is a must. A tidy person who is happy to keep on top of tidying children's areas as well as bed changing and children’s laundry. The family have two lovely Labrador dogs, so a dog friendly person is also a must.
Car driver essential due to location of school for drop off and pick up, as the school is a 40 minute drive away. Use of a car provided for this.
The Position:
- Care of 3 children ages 7 10 and 12 full time Monday to Friday during the school holidays and 3 days a week term time
- Taking the children to and from school - this is a 40 minute drive away so the person must be a confident and proficient driver
- After school care for all 3 children including cooking tea, bath and bedtime routine
- Children's laundry, cleaning and bed changing
- Keeping areas tidy
- Batch cooking and possibly a little baking.
The Person:
- Reliable, flexible, kind & trustworthy with a calm, friendly personality
- Ideally childcare qualified
- Car driver with clean licence
- A good cook to provide healthy meals
- Will have a natural rapport with children
- Someone clean and tidy who could perhaps provide additional housekeeping duties during term time.
The successful person will be offered a good salary between £28,000 - £32,000 dependant on experience. Fully checkable references will be requested.
