As a Principal Development Management Officer, you’ll take the lead on complex and high-profile development proposals, provide expert advice to developers, councillors and stakeholders, and play a key role in delivering our vision for the district. From major applications and pre-application discussions to appeals and strategic projects, this is an opportunity to influence development that makes a real difference.
You’re an experienced planning professional who combines strong technical expertise with a positive, solutions-focused approach. You’ll have a sound understanding of planning legislation, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the confidence to manage complex cases while supporting colleagues to succeed. For many of our roles, our hybrid work model enables employees to work remotely while allowing for in-office collaboration opportunities across the district, with an expectation of being in the office at least two days a week.
