Self-Employed Purchase & Bookkeeping Administrator
Location: Hybrid – 1 day in office either Monday or Wednesday
Rate: £18.00 per hour
Hours: 16 hours over 3 days per week

About the Role
We are looking for a self-employed Purchase & Bookkeeping Administrator to provide ongoing support with our purchasing, bookkeeping and general financial administration.
This is a varied role suited to someone who is organised, reliable and confident working independently. You will be responsible for Purchasing stock, keeping purchase records up to date, processing invoices, maintaining accurate bookkeeping records and providing general administrative support to the business.
Key Responsibilities
· Processing purchase invoices and supplier payments
· Resolving invoice queries
· Carrying out bookkeeping and account administration
· Assisting with bank reconciliations
· Monitoring outstanding invoices and payments
· Maintaining purchase orders and supporting documentation
· Using accounting and bookkeeping software (xero)
· Maintaining organised digital records
· Liaising with suppliers and internal contacts
· Providing general administrative and finance support
· Identifying and resolving discrepancies in financial records
About You
The ideal candidate will be:
· Experienced in bookkeeping, purchase ledger or finance administration
· Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
· Confident working independently and managing their own workload
· Comfortable working with numbers and financial information
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Xero
· Reliable, professional and able to meet agreed deadlines
· A good communicator with a practical, problem-solving approach
· Trustworthy and able to handle confidential financial information
Requirements
· Previous bookkeeping, purchase ledger or finance administration experience
· Good understanding of bookkeeping principles
· Good IT and Excel skills
· Experience with Xero
· Ability to work independently as a self-employed contractor
