Client Services Administrator DH Accountants & Tax Advisors | Full Time
We're a growing independent practice looking for a client services administrator to join our busy team. This is a role at the heart of our small client services team, handling client onboarding, invoicing, and credit control. As the face of the business, you will be friendly, professional and proactive - someone who takes pride in doing things properly and genuinely cares about the service clients receive.
Based primarily at our Frodsham office 2 days a week, with working from home flexibility following the probation period, you will be joining a small client services team within a growing practice that looks after a varied portfolio of small business and sole trader clients.
The role
You'll be working across client-facing and back-office tasks, including:
- Managing end-to-end client onboarding from proposal acceptance to system set-up
- Conducting AML/KYC checks and maintaining compliance records
- Raising and issuing invoices accurately and on time
- Working as part of our credit control team: monitoring aged debt and managing overdue accounts
- Answering calls and handling client queries, routing to the right team member
- Preparing and filing confirmation statements
- Liaising with HMRC on routine client matters
- Keeping client records up to date across our systems
What we're looking for
- Experience in an administrative, accounts, or client services role (accountancy practice experience is ideal)
- Confident communication by phone and email, including with HMRC
- Methodical approach to invoicing and credit control, with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable with cloud-based systems; Karbon and Xero experience is a bonus
- Organised, self-motivated, and able to juggle competing priorities
- Warm, professional manner
The details
- Salary: £25,000 to £28,000 depending on experience
- Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm
- Location: 2 days per week in our Frodsham office; travel to our Liverpool office as required
- Working from home: Available following probation period
Benefits
- 28 days annual leave including bank holidays
- Christmas closure: up to 10 additional working days off over Christmas and New Year
- Long service leave: 1 extra day per year after 3 years' service, up to 5 additional days
- Pension: auto-enrolled after 3 months (you up to 5%, company 3%), salary sacrifice available
- All-staff social events twice a year
- Smart casual dress code
- Modern, cloud-based practice using automation
- Mac hardware: We use Macbooks across the practice (experience helpful but not essential)
The interview process
As part of the interview process, shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a practical assessment. This is a short, real-world exercise designed to give you a feel for the kind of work involved in the role and to help us understand how you approach everyday tasks.
