Volunteering in Charity Shop in Kingsbridge
Retail Volunteers
Title Shop Volunteers, part-time
Reporting to Shop Manager/Shop Assistant
Location St Luke’s charity shop in Kingsbridge (The Quay, 1-3 Fore Street, TQ7 1PG)
Volunteers will receive training on using the till and helping with the day-to-day running of the shop floor. This may include tidying displays, replenishing stock, removing unsaleable items, and pricing or marking down goods where needed. We also need volunteers to help in the stock room, sorting and processing donations. Tasks may include inspecting donated items, preparing stock for sale, steaming or ironing clothing, and attaching price tags.
We would also welcome volunteers with a particular interest in: checking and scanning books; antique, retro, vintage and collectable research; small repairs (sewing and mending); love of puzzles, games and toys.
If people are available for more than one day, that is most welcome, and we may be able to fit people in to other days if applicable.
As a volunteer, you will help create a welcoming experience for our customers by providing friendly and helpful service. You will gain experience of working as part of a successful charity retail team while using your skills and time to support the shop in generating income for St Luke's Hospice.
