Overview
This is a full-time 30 to 40 hours per week, including Saturday but never a Sunday position!
We are looking for a cheerful, enthusiastic Shop Assistant to enhances our customers shopping experience! The responsibilities included engaging with customers, stocking shelves, date checking, re-ordering and cleaning, all to ensure the store runs smoothly. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help to create a welcoming environment where customers feel welcome to shop our wide range of products.
You will be part of a small team so you must be reliable
Duties
- Assist shoppers with product inquiries.
- Cleaning & Stocking Shelves
- Ordering & Re-stocking Everyday Items
- Handle customer transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems
- Support time management by prioritizing tasks during busy periods to ensure smooth operations.
- Strong communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory counts & stock take.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage stock and displays
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a lively retail environment
- Demonstrated time management skills to balance multiple responsibilities throughout shifts
It is essential you only apply with 3 years retail or hospitality experience, training will be given but previous experience is required for this position going into our busiest time of year.
Knowledge and experience with fresh produce is an advantage with attention to detail to provide the best quality products for our customers.
