We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and energetic Sports Coach for afterschool and lunch sessions to join our team. Whether you are working with athletes of all levels or inspiring young children in primary school, you’ll play a vital role in developing skills, fostering teamwork, and promoting a positive, fun sporting environment.
This is for roles in a primary school in the Stafford area.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement engaging training programmes tailored to the needs of individual athletes and teams.
- Lead curriculum-based PE Afterschool lessons for primary school children (ages 4-11), encouraging participation, teamwork, and fitness.
- Monday and Friday lunch and after school.
- Run fun and interactive after-school sports clubs, promoting a love for sports in a safe, supportive setting.
- Mentor and engage with children, building connections and inspiring confidence, skills, and enthusiasm for both individual and team sports.
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere, encouraging participation and teamwork across all age groups.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coaching techniques, sports developments, and best practices.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Proven experience in sports coaching or relevant experience working with children, with a understanding of various training methodologies.
- Sports coaching qualifications or equivalent experience (real-world coaching experience counts!).
- Excellent communication skills to educate, inspire, and engage with children of all ages.
- A warm and approachable personality that makes children feel comfortable, welcomed, and excited.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate participants and foster teamwork.
- High energy and enthusiasm to keep up with active, curious young minds (back-flips optional!).
- A sense of humour and a genuine passion for working with children, valuing their thoughts and feelings.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail in planning training sessions, lessons, and events.
