Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality support to individuals in care homes and in their own homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be reliable, and committed to delivering person-centred care. Duties
- Assisting clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Supporting clients with meal preparation and feeding as required
- Helping clients follow their personalised care plans effectively
- Providing companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life
- Assisting with medication reminders and basic health monitoring under supervision
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided using IT systems
- Driving clients to appointments or social activities when necessary
- Communicating effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
- Ensuring a safe environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times
Experience
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Knowledge of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is advantageous
- Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes are preferred
- Good command of English, both written and spoken, is essential for effective communication
- Driving licence is beneficial for roles involving client transportation but not mandatory for all positions
- Strong communication skills and a caring attitude are vital for building trust with clients and team members
