PIP Clinical Assessor role could be the perfect next step. You’ll use your clinical expertise to assess how health conditions and disabilities affect an individual's
functional ability, daily living activities and mobility, helping to produce fair, accurate and evidence-based assessments.

What You’ll Do As a PIP Clinical Assessor, you will:
- Conduct structured PIP functional assessments via telephone and face-to-face
- Take detailed clinical histories and establish the functional impact of health conditions
- Assess how physical and psychological conditions affect daily living and mobility
- Review and critically analyse medical evidence and supporting documentation
- Apply clinical reasoning and professional judgement when assessing functional limitations
- Consider an individual's ability to carry out specific activities safely and reliably
- Produce clear, accurate and objective evidence-based reports
- Work within relevant DWP assessment criteria, guidelines and quality standards
- Communicate effectively with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds
- Receive comprehensive, fully paid training before completing assessments independently
Who We're Looking For: This role is specifically aimed at
registered healthcare professionals with relevant post-registration clinical experience.
You must hold current professional registration as one of the following:
- Registered Nurse – NMC
- Physiotherapist – HCPC
- Occupational Therapist – HCPC
- Paramedic – HCPC
- Pharmacist – GPhC
We're looking for professionals who are comfortable with
clinical assessment, history-taking, reviewing evidence, clinical decision-making and applying professional judgement.
Please note: This position is specifically for the registered healthcare professions listed above. Applications from
Social Workers, Healthcare Assistants, Support Workers, Receptionists, Administrators or other non-registered professions will not meet the requirements.
Salary & Bonus Package:
- £40,000–£42,000 starting salary
- 5% approval bonus
- Up to 10% performance bonus
- £2,000 bonus usually within 6 months
