A Production Operative is required to join a high performing team electronics department at our site in Solihull.
The Production Operative will be working on the fabrication and assembly of audio electronic components including connectors, cables and other electronic products.

Key Responsibilities

To fabricate and assemble audio electronic components such as connectors, cables and other electronic products.
-
To maintain, test and repair items passing through the electronics department, following agreed procedures.
-
To participate in the process of site preparation during audio installations and to carry out service and maintenance on existing installations.
-
To maintain and promote safe working practices within the department, including the correct operation of tools and equipment.
-
To assist with stock management, monitoring stock levels and working with managers to re-order where necessary.
-
To ensure the Electronics working areas are maintained in a clean, organized and tidy condition.
-
To identify improvements to processes and procedures through continuous improvement and close liaison with managers and identify ways to improve cost effectiveness, and where appropriate, generate income.

You will be expected to manage your own workload effectively, ensuring all activities are managed to conclusion and any outstanding work identified and reported to managers.

The role may be required to assist, or cover for, other roles within the operation for which full training / support will be given.

Any other reasonable ad-hoc requests as required by your manager.
Work Experience:

You will have 1 years of experience in a similar role
Level of education
-
You will be educated to GCSE level (or equivalent)
Skills & Experience Required

Competent in the use of tools related to the job, such as soldering irons

Keen interest in audio electronics
-
Willingness and ability to learn quickly
-
Competent with the use of computers and ability to use databases.

Initiative and the ability to work unsupervised, whilst recognizing when to ask questions.

Flexible and adaptable with the ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure – the role is pivotal to the smooth running of the department and the effective handling of both internal and external customers
