Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy hospitality venue. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food and beverage service, and a comprehensive understanding of food safety and management practices. Duties
- Manage all aspects of bar operations, including staff scheduling, stock control, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Supervise and motivate team members, including bartenders, servers, and kitchen staff, fostering a positive working environment.
- Oversee food production, including food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring quality standards are met consistently.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery during busy periods.
- Maintain excellent customer service standards by engaging with patrons and resolving any issues promptly.
- Implement training programmes related to food safety, hospitality standards, and product knowledge such as barista techniques.
- Monitor stock levels, place orders for supplies, and manage inventory efficiently.
- Ensure adherence to licensing laws regarding alcohol service and responsible drinking policies.
Qualifications
- Proven management or supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong background in food production, cooking, serving, and food preparation.
- Experience in restaurant management with a focus on team leadership and operational efficiency.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality environments.
- Familiarity with culinary techniques and kitchen operations is desirable.
- Previous experience in hospitality roles such as barista or food service is advantageous.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
