Class 2 Grab Lorry Driver – 18 Tonne
Location: RIG Scorrier, Cornwall
RIG Corp Ltd is looking for an experienced and reliable Class 2 Grab Lorry Driver to join our team, working from our RIG Scorrier site.
Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Carrying out muck-away jobs using an 18-tonne grab lorry and clamshell bucket
- Collecting and transporting soil, stone, aggregates and other suitable materials
- Delivering loose-load aggregates to domestic and commercial customers
- Delivering dumpy bags to customer sites
- Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Keeping the vehicle clean, safe and presentable
- Completing relevant paperwork and delivery documentation
- Following site rules, road transport regulations and company health and safety procedures
- Providing a professional and helpful service to customers
Requirements
- Valid Category C/Class 2 driving licence
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous experience driving an 18-tonne grab lorry
- Experience operating a clamshell grab
- HIAB or lorry-loader certificate preferred
- Good knowledge of driver hours and working-time regulations
- Strong awareness of health and safety
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
- Good communication and customer-service skills
This is a hands-on driving position suited to someone who takes pride in their vehicle, works safely and can represent the company professionally while working on customer and construction sites.
