Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tyre Fitter to join our dynamic automotive service team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of tyres on various vehicle types. Your expertise will ensure vehicles are safe, roadworthy, and perform optimally. Duties
- Remove and replace tyres using hand tools and power tools efficiently and safely
- Inspect tyres for damage, wear, and proper tread depth to determine repair or replacement needs
- Balance tyres to ensure smooth vehicle operation and reduce vibrations
- Conduct routine maintenance on tyre fitting equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Assist customers by explaining tyre options, maintenance procedures, and safety tips
- Perform heavy lifting of tyres and wheels safely, following proper manual handling techniques
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and customer details
Qualifications
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle tyres and basic automotive systems
- Experience with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and tyre levers
- Familiarity with power tools used in tyre fitting processes
- Ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment and tools
- Strong customer service skills to assist clients professionally and courteously
- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and manual tasks throughout shifts
- Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Pay: £10.00-£13.00 per hour
