Snap Fitness 24/7 Tiverton is reopening following an exciting refurbishment, and we’re looking for a motivated Group Fitness Instructor to join our team.
This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic, personable instructor to help shape the group fitness offering at a refreshed and growing club.
We’re particularly interested in instructors with Reformer Pilates qualifications and experience, although we’re also open to instructors qualified in other group fitness disciplines who can bring energy, professionalism and a great member experience to our classes.
Responsibilities
- Class Instruction – Plan and lead engaging, safe and effective group fitness sessions, with a particular focus on Reformer Pilates where qualified.
- Member Experience – Create a welcoming, positive and motivating environment that encourages members to attend regularly and enjoy their fitness journey.
- Safety & Modifications – Monitor technique and form throughout classes and provide appropriate modifications for different abilities and fitness levels.
- Building the Class Community – Help establish and grow the club’s group fitness programme following the refurbishment, building relationships with members and developing a loyal class following.
- Class Promotion – Support the promotion of classes to members and prospective members, including social media content where appropriate.
- Facility Standards – Ensure the studio, reformer equipment and other equipment are prepared, clean and organised before and after each session.
- Punctuality & Reliability – Arrive prepared and on time for every scheduled class and provide reasonable notice of any changes or availability issues.
Schedule & Club Details
- Part-time, pay-per-class position.
- Class times and formats will be agreed with the successful instructor based on member demand and availability.
- Classes may include early morning, daytime, evening and/or weekend sessions.
- Opportunity to play an important role in establishing the group fitness programme as the club reopens following refurbishment.
Requirements
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- Current group fitness or relevant format-specific qualification.
- Reformer Pilates certification is highly desirable.
- First Aid & CPR/AED certification, or willingness to obtain this.
- Strong communication and motivational skills.
- Confident leading groups and working with members of different fitness levels and abilities.
- Reliable, professional and punctual.
- A genuine passion for fitness and helping people achieve their goals.
Preferred / A Plus
- Reformer Pilates qualification and teaching experience.
- Experience teaching multiple fitness formats.
- Previous experience building a regular class following.
- Comfortable creating or appearing in social media content to help promote classes.
- Experience working in a gym, fitness studio or boutique fitness environment.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay: Competitive pay-per-class rate, based on class format and experience. Specific details discussed during the interview process.
Classification: Independent contractor, paid per class taught.
