Overview:
We are seeking one part-timed, seasonal experienced, skilled and passionate Cook/Chef to join our team with an immediate start. As a Cook/Chef, you will be responsible for keeping the kitchen clean to maintain standards and ensuring the delivery of high-quality meals. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and customer preferences under the direction of the owner and lead chef.
- Monitor food stock levels and appraise owner of stock requirements during your shift
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Collaborate with colleagues and management to develop new menu items
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a pub restaurant or similar setting
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and cooking techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and responsibly
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices - minimum Level 2 Food Hygiene
Skills:
- Culinary expertise: Proficiency in various cooking techniques.
- Meal preparation: Experience in preparing a wide range of main dishes, starters, desserts, and side dishes, including breakfast.
- Food safety: Knowledge of proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Restaurant experience: Familiarity with the fast-paced nature of small pub/restaurant environments and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
-Time management: Independently and effectively manage own time.
