We are a leading drilling and blasting contractor providing specialist services to quarries, civil engineering projects, and construction sites throughout the UK. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Profiler Surveyor / Blast Design Technician to join our team.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out quarry and site surveys, producing accurate blast profiles, and supporting the drilling and blasting team with technical survey data and blast design information.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct face profiling and quarry surveys using specialist survey equipment.
Produce accurate blast profiles and drill plans.
Process survey data and generate reports for operational teams.
Assist with blast design and burden calculations.
Ensure survey data is collected and recorded accurately.
Work closely with drillers, shotfirers, and site management.
Travel to customer sites across the UK when required.
Maintain survey equipment and ensure calibration standards are met.
Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Requirements
Essential:
Experience using quarry profiling or surveying equipment.
Competent with survey software and data processing.
Full UK driving licence.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
Good communication and organisational skills.
Desirable:
Experience within drilling and blasting operations.
Knowledge of blast design principles.
Experience using GPS, total stations, drones, or laser profiling systems.
CSCS card, MPQC qualifications, or relevant surveying qualifications.
