As our business continues to evolve, robust financial planning and decision-making are critical to our success. We're looking for an experienced Finance Modelling Specialist to join us on a 9-month fixed-term contract, supporting a key period of forecasting and budgeting activity across the firm.
This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a portfolio of complex, business-critical financial models that support strategic planning across the firm. Working closely with senior finance stakeholders and our Finance Business Partnering team, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring our forecasting and budgeting models remain accurate, efficient and fit for purpose.
We're seeking someone who combines exceptional technical modelling expertise with strong commercial awareness and a passion for continuous improvement. You'll have the opportunity to influence decision-making, challenge assumptions and enhance the tools that underpin the firm's financial planning processes.

Maintain, support and enhance a portfolio of business-critical financial models supporting forecasting and budgeting processes.
- Ensure models remain accurate, robust and aligned to organisational and reporting requirements.
- Challenge assumptions and identify opportunities to improve modelling methodologies and outputs.
- Ensure consistency between business unit models and consolidated reporting outputs.
- Act as the technical lead for complex modelling issues, providing expert guidance and solutions.
- Diagnose and resolve calculation errors, data integrity issues and performance challenges.
- Document assumptions, methodologies, calculations, dependencies and data sources to reduce risk and improve transparency.
- Develop user guides and support knowledge transfer activities across the finance team.
- Provide specialist modelling support on ad hoc projects and initiatives as required.
We're looking for an individual with:
- Significant experience developing, maintaining and enhancing complex Excel-based financial models within FP&A, commercial finance or a similar environment.
- Strong understanding of profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, cash flow statements and integrated financial models.
- Excellent understanding of key commercial and financial performance drivers.
- Experience documenting complex models and implementing controls to reduce model risk.
- Experience coaching or training colleagues and supporting knowledge transfer initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to influence and challenge senior finance stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience within legal or professional services environments would be advantageous but is not essential.
You will have advanced skills across:
- Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, Dynamic Arrays, advanced lookups and aggregations.
- Scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis.
- Financial modelling best practice and model optimisation.
- Power Query and Power Pivot.
- VBA and macros.
- Error diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- Structured data modelling techniques.
- Power BI maintenance and troubleshooting capability.
- Basic SQL knowledge.
