We have an exciting opportunity in the North West region, based in the Chorley office for a Sub Agent to join our site teams.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Sub-Agent to lead the safe and successful delivery of projects on site. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team where you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme, to budget, and to the highest quality standards.
As a Sub-Agent, you will be responsible for coordinating site operations, managing resources, leading site teams and supply chain partners, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities

Take overall responsibility for the safe delivery of site works, ensuring full compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements.

Produce, manage and maintain all site documentation, permits, registers and project records.

Brief and manage site teams to ensure works are delivered in line with approved methodologies, specifications and project programmes.

Ensure all site teams and supply chain partners have the required skills, competence and understanding of site risks before commencing work.

Coordinate and manage labour, plant, materials and subcontractors to maintain progress and achieve programme milestones.

Deliver works in accordance with approved designs, specifications, quality standards and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).

Identify and manage snagging items and non-conformance reports (NCRs), working closely with engineering teams to achieve timely resolution.

Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors and project teams.

Monitor and manage site costs, supporting commercial teams with cost-to-complete reviews and performance reporting.

Ensure sites remain secure, well-organised and professionally maintained at all times.
What We’re Looking For
-
Proven experience as a Site Manager or Sub-Agent within construction, infrastructure, utilities or civil engineering projects.

Strong knowledge of health, safety, environmental and quality management processes.

Experience managing subcontractors, labour, plant and materials on complex projects.

Excellent management and communication skills with the ability to motivate and coordinate diverse teams.

Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving abilities.

Experience managing project programmes, resources and site costs.
-
Ability to build effective relationships with clients, stakeholders and supply chain partners.
-
A proactive approach with a strong focus on safety, quality and delivery performance.
-
SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).
-
CSCS Card (desirable).
-
First Aid at Work.
-
Relevant construction, engineering or project management qualification.
-
Temporary Works, NRSWA or other industry-specific certifications (desirable).
