Overview
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Sewing Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating industrial sewing machines to produce high-quality products in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Operate industrial sewing machines efficiently and accurately to produce various textile products
- Follow detailed work instructions and specifications to ensure product quality and consistency
- Inspect finished work for defects, ensuring all items meet quality standards
- Maintain and troubleshoot sewing machines, performing basic repairs or adjustments as needed
- Organise materials and supplies to optimise workflow and minimise downtime
- Keep the work area clean, safe, and organised in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines
Experience
- Previous experience working with sewing machines, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential; a strong organisational ability is required
- Familiarity with textile or fabric handling is desirable
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams or instructions is beneficial
- Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are vital for this role.
Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
