About the Role
EAANSA Clinical Education Services is looking for a Building Surveyor to provide professional advice on the condition, maintenance, repair, and improvement of buildings and properties. The successful candidate will carry out inspections, prepare technical reports, identify defects, and support building projects and property management activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed inspections and surveys of residential, commercial, and other properties.
- Identify building defects, structural issues, deterioration, and maintenance requirements.
- Prepare detailed building survey reports and technical recommendations.
- Assess the condition and performance of building components and systems.
- Provide advice on repairs, refurbishment, maintenance, and building improvements.
- Prepare specifications, schedules of work, and cost estimates where required.
- Monitor repair, maintenance, and refurbishment works to ensure quality and compliance.
- Liaise with contractors, architects, engineers, property managers, and other stakeholders.
- Investigate building defects and recommend appropriate remedial solutions.
- Assist with project planning, procurement, and contractor selection.
- Ensure surveying activities comply with relevant UK building regulations, health and safety requirements, and professional standards.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, reports, project documentation, and property information.
- Provide professional advice on building condition, maintenance planning, and property-related matters.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience as a Building Surveyor or in a similar property, construction, or surveying role.
- Degree, HNC, HND, or equivalent qualification in Building Surveying, Construction, Property, or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of building construction, defects, maintenance, and refurbishment.
- Ability to conduct inspections and prepare clear technical reports.
- Good understanding of UK Building Regulations, health and safety requirements, and relevant industry standards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, inspections, and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant surveying or construction software.
- RICS membership or progress toward professional accreditation is desirable.
Pay: £2,600.00-£3,000.00 per month
