Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Community Care Worker, you will:
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred care and support to clients within their homes and communities.
- Lead by example and provide guidance and support to care staff.
- Observe and monitor care delivery in the community, providing coaching and constructive feedback.
- Carry out care assessments, spot checks, quality audits, and client reviews.
- Develop, update, and maintain detailed care plans and support documentation.
- Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, company policies, and best practice standards.
- Support safe medication administration and management in line with NICE and CQC guidance.
- Build positive relationships with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to continuous service improvement and high-quality outcomes for clients.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Previous experience within community care, domiciliary care, or health and social care.
- Strong understanding of person-centred care practices.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of CQC standards and quality compliance requirements.
- Experience supporting medication management.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Access to a reliable vehicle for work purposes.
- Ability to travel across York, Beverley, and Harrogate.
- Flexibility to participate in the on-call rota.
Desirable:
- Experience undertaking spot checks, care reviews, or staff observations.
- Previous supervisory or senior care experience.
Working Pattern
This role offers a varied and flexible working pattern and includes:
- Participation in a shared on-call rota.
- Either one full weekend per month or one day each weekend, depending on operational requirements.
- A combination of community-based support, quality monitoring, and office-based responsibilities.
