Job Title: English Teacher

Salary: £39,000 - £58,500
Contract: Full-time, Permanent, or Temp-to-Perm
Are you an experienced English Teacher looking for a new opportunity from September? We are working with an Ofsted-rated Good secondary school in Enfield that is looking to appoint an English Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis. The school has a supportive Senior Leadership Team and is looking for a confident teacher who can establish high expectations and build positive relationships with students. Behaviour can be challenging, so this role would particularly suit an experienced teacher with strong classroom management skills.
What you’ll be doing:
- Teaching English across KS3 and KS4
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the English curriculum
- Creating a positive and purposeful classroom environment
- Setting clear expectations and managing behaviour effectively
- Assessing student progress and adapting teaching to meet different needs
- Working closely with the English department and wider school team
What we’re looking for:
- QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- A confident, resilient and positive approach
- Ability to build strong relationships with students
- Availability to start from September 2026
- Experienced teachers looking for a permanent or temp-to-perm opportunity
