ichiban UK is a privately owned sushi manufacturer producing own label and branded sushi for the UK market .
We are looking for Process Controllers at our site in Earl Stonham, near Stowmarket, Bury St Edmunds, and Ipswich.

Shifts- The role operates on a 4 days on, 3 days off / 3 days on, 4 days off shift pattern. We currently have vacancies available on the following shifts:
Days 1: Working every Thursday to Saturday and alternate Wednesday's from 06:00-18:00
Days 2: Working every Sunday to Tuesday and alternate Wednesday's from 06:00-18:00
These roles are on guaranteed hours contracts.
Transport- We have a bus service running from Ipswich to site for all shift patterns (£7.50 for a return ticket).
As a Process Controller, you will play an active role within the production area, combining hands-on manufacturing duties with process monitoring and administrative responsibilities. You will support the smooth running of production while ensuring quality, safety, and customer requirements are consistently achieved.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Working directly with the production team, supporting the preparation, manufacture, assembly, and packing of chilled food products in line with customer specifications and company standards.
- Maintaining accurate production records and ensuring all required documentation is completed correctly and on time.
- Monitoring product quality to ensure customer specifications and company standards are consistently met, taking action to address any issues identified.
- Promoting and maintaining excellent standards of hygiene, health and safety, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) across the production area.
- Working closely with Line Managers and the wider production team to support the delivery of the production plan safely and efficiently.
- Using systems such as QUOR to record and monitor key production information.
- Supporting with team coordination, waste monitoring, downtime reporting, and the review of performance data to drive continuous improvement.
We offer great prospects if you wish to develop your career in the food industry. Full training will be given so although previous experience in food manufacturing would be nice, it's not vital.
Pay Rate: £13.01 per hour. With the weekly attendance bonus included, the expected weekly earnings are £533.65 before tax.
A 'training rate' of £12.71 per hour may apply whilst you are in training. As soon as you have been signed off as competent in the job, your hourly rate will increase to the above rates.
