Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Nurse/Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth operation of the dental practice. This role requires strong organisational skills, effective communication abilities, and a compassionate approach to patient care.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly as they arrive at the practice and assist them with check-in procedures.
- Schedule and confirm appointments, managing the calendar efficiently to optimise patient flow.
- Handle patient inquiries via phone and in person, providing accurate information regarding services and procedures.
- Maintain patient records with utmost confidentiality, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accurate.
- Process patient payments and manage billing inquiries in a professional manner.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless communication regarding patient care and treatment plans.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organised reception area, contributing to a welcoming environment for patients.
- Utilise IT systems effectively for scheduling, record keeping, and communication purposes.
Experience
- Previous experience in a dental or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- A background in nursing or patient care is advantageous but not mandatory; a willingness to learn is essential.
- Proficiency in IT systems related to scheduling and record management will be beneficial.
