Rhino Asphalt Solutions is a market leader in highway maintenance, contracting unique proprietary patching and repair products to resolve everyday problems. We have an annual turnover of £8.5 million working for Local Authorities and National Highways Contractors on the motorway, trunk roads and local highway networks. Our head office function is based in East Sussex with operational teams in Kent and Staffordshire with national contracting coverage.
We’re looking for an organised and proactive Full-Time Administrator who likes being involved, takes pride in keeping things organised, and would enjoy being the person people rely on to get things done properly.
This role has variety, responsibility, and trust. Fit matters more than years on a CV, but you must be organised, confident, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
You’ll be responsible for a mix of admin, training, and plant & fleet, supporting our working depots and wider business. You’ll be the person who knows what’s booked, what’s compliant, what’s due, and what needs chasing. In short: you help keep the wheels turning.
What you’ll be getting stuck into:
- Organising and booking training
- Managing training records and compliance documentation
- Coordinating HR induction paperwork for new starters
- Supporting wider HR administrative functions
- Plant and fleet administration for our working depots (records, documentation, coordination)
- Being a key point of contact, confident on the phone and in person
- Taking ownership of your responsibilities and seeing them through
With experience, there may also be the opportunity to support or oversee an admin apprentice.
Who we’re really looking for:
- Someone with admin experience, be it one year or many, attitude wins
- Highly organised, reliable, and proactive
- A good communicator who’s comfortable speaking to people at all levels
- Happy working independently, but genuinely enjoys being part of a team
- Someone who cares about doing things properly and takes responsibility for their work
What’s in it for you:
- £23,500 – £30,000 salary range, depending on previous experience and fit
- A role with variety
- Trust, autonomy, and the space to make the role your own
- A team that values contribution
Rhino has a culture of a family business that is on the move. Growth is on the agenda but so is being part of the team, or the herd as we affectionately call it. We have a culture of support alongside a culture of action and getting the job done. If you can demonstrate these attributes to us, then you could be the one. To be at Rhino is a rewarding and valued experience. The staff churn is low, and our people highly value the environment in which they work.
The role would suit someone who wants responsibility, likes being organised, and enjoys being involved in how a business runs day to day. If that sounds like you, we’d genuinely love to hear from you and review your CV.
Weekly working hours are Full-time, Mon to Fri, 9am to 5pm with an hour for lunch (35-hour week) office based, not remote working.
Applicants will require their own transport due to the rural location of the office.
