Responsibilities
- Monitor security cameras (CCTV) and surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity or breaches in real-time.
- Control access to the premises by verifying identities of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility, including entrances, exits, and sensitive areas, to identify potential security risks or hazards.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies by following established protocols and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
- Manage conflict situations with professionalism and tact, employing conflict management techniques to de-escalate disputes.
- Perform first aid and CPR when required, providing immediate assistance in medical emergencies until professional help arrives.
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security reports to ensure accurate record-keeping for future reference.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service or related fields is highly desirable.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified.
- Strong surveillance skills with experience operating CCTV systems and other security technology.
- Knowledge of loss prevention strategies and conflict management techniques.
- Ability to remain alert during long shifts while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members, visitors, and emergency responders.
