We’re looking for skilled and versatile Multi Traders to join our Direct Services team, helping us deliver a high quality repairs and maintenance service to our residents.
Reporting to a Lead Technician, you’ll work within our Reactive Repairs service, carrying out a wide range of repairs across our homes. This will include multi trade tasks such as basic plumbing, carpentry, patch plastering, tiling, and other general maintenance works.
You’ll manage your own workload day to day, working efficiently to meet service targets and delivering work right first time. Customer satisfaction will be at the heart of everything you do, and you’ll ensure residents are kept informed throughout the repair process.
This is a field based role, and you’ll be required to take part in a 24 hour emergency call out rota on a fair and planned basis
About you
You’re an experienced Multi Trader with a broad skillset and a strong customer focus. You’re confident working independently across a range of repairs, but also enjoy working as part of a team and supporting colleagues to deliver the best outcomes for residents.
You will need:
- A proven track record of working within a Direct Labour Service or similar repairs environment, with customer satisfaction at the heart of service delivery
- Relevant trade qualifications (City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 and/or Level 3) or equivalent experience across multiple trades
- Experience delivering a range of repairs and maintenance works across different trades
- Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation, building regulations and safe systems of work
- The ability to diagnose faults and deliver a ‘first time fix’ wherever possible
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work professionally with residents, including those who may be vulnerable
- A flexible, proactive approach and a strong ‘one team’ mindset
- Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends with reasonable notice and take part in a 24 hour emergency call out rota
- You must hold a full UK driving licence with no more than six points and with no serious motoring offences in the last 10 years (i.e., CD, DD, DG, DR, IN, MR, TT). You must also have a minimum of two years driving experience. We will undertake driving licence checks on the successful candidate as part of our standard pre-employment checks process.
Successful candidates will be subject to a basic DBS check.
You’ll be part of our Direct Services Reactive Repairs team, delivering a comprehensive repairs and maintenance service to our residents, including emergency, routine and responsive works.
Our teams work closely together to provide a responsive, efficient and high quality service, ensuring our homes remain safe, secure and comfortable. You’ll support colleagues to meet targets, maintain compliance and deliver excellent customer outcomes, with resident safety and satisfaction at the heart of everything we do.
