Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Housing Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing assistance and support to individuals, in various settings. This position requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those in care while promoting independence and well-being.
Duties
- Assist individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Develop and implement personalised care plans tailored to the specific needs of each individual.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Provide support in fostering and nurturing environment.
- Drive clients to appointments or activities as needed, ensuring safe transportation.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in the individual’s condition.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance service delivery and client outcomes.
Skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with clients and their families.
- A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients as required.
- Proficiency in IT skills for maintaining records and utilising care management software.
- Experience in developing and implementing care plans that meet individual needs.
- Background in childcare or experience working with children is highly desirable.
- Ability to work empathetically and patiently with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
35 hour per week - some out of hours including weekend visits may be required,
Office hours are 10am-6pm - office based in Tyseley
Properties and tenants are primarily in East and South Birmingham
Tyseley, Stechford, Hodge Hill, Hall Green, Acocks Green, Yardley, Northfield
