Till & Customer Service Assistant - Sunday Shift (6 hours)
Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Retail Assistant specialising in tills and customer service to join our team. This role involves providing excellent service to customers, managing transactions accurately, and supporting the overall shopping experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, organisational abilities, and a positive attitude. Fluency in multiple languages such as Spanish and English is highly desirable to assist a diverse customer base. Responsibilities
- Operate tills efficiently, ensuring accurate processing of sales transactions
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their visit
- Assist customers with product enquiries, including merchandising and product placement
- Upsell products and promote special offers to maximise sales opportunities
- Maintain a clean and organised checkout area, adhering to health and safety standards
- Handle phone enquiries professionally, providing information or directing calls as needed
- Support stock organisation and replenishment on the shop floor
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure smooth customer flow
- Ensure all transactions are conducted with accuracy using basic maths skills
Requirements
- Fluency in English
- Excellent communication skills and friendly phone etiquette
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently
- Basic maths skills for handling cash and processing payments accurately
- Good time management to prioritise tasks during shifts
- Previous experience in retail, merchandising, or customer service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Ability to work well within a team and independently when required
- Organised with attention to detail to ensure high standards of service are maintained
Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour
