We are looking for an experienced Carpet & Flooring Sales Consultant / Estimator to join our award-winning team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in flooring sales and estimating who enjoys building customer relationships and seeing projects through from initial enquiry to successful installation.
Important:
This is not a general retail sales role. Applicants must have previous sales experience and be confident carrying out on-site measuring and estimating for flooring projects.
About the Role
Working within our friendly and supportive team, you will be responsible for:
- Providing exceptional customer service in our showroom.
- Advising customers on carpets, vinyl, laminate, wood, LVT and other flooring products.
- Generating sales and building long-term customer relationships.
- Visiting customers' homes and commercial premises to measure, assess requirements and prepare accurate flooring estimates and quotations.
- Following sales through from enquiry to completed installation.
- Liaising daily with our fitting teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Assisting with stock control and maintaining a clean, professional showroom environment.
- Managing customer enquiries both in person and by phone/email.
Essential Requirements
- Previous flooring sales experience is essential.
- Experience measuring and estimating flooring projects is essential.
- Proven ability to generate sales and close deals.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Professional, smart and polite manner.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Full UK driving licence and own vehicle (required for customer appointments).
