After School Club / Sports Coach with potential for school hours work too
Do you love working with children and want to be part of a positive, supportive and growing childcare team? We’re looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable individual to join our Before & After School Club, helping children start and finish their day in a safe, happy and nurturing environment.
This is a rewarding role where no two days are the same. You’ll help create calm, engaging mornings before school and fun, structured afternoons once the school day ends — supporting children’s wellbeing, confidence and enjoyment throughout.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and serving nutritious snacks after school
- Leading and supervising age-appropriate games, sports and creative activities
- Ensuring children are always safe, supported and well cared for in line with safeguarding procedures
- Creating a welcoming, inclusive environment where every child feels valued and confident
- Lead or assist in specific Sports clubs
- Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting children’s social and emotional development
- Communicating clearly and professionally with children, parents and colleagues
- Maintaining a clean, organised and welcoming childcare space
- Supporting daily routines and contributing positively to the wider team
We’re a young and growing organisation looking for bubbly, energetic team players who genuinely enjoy working with children. You’ll be approachable, proactive and calm under pressure, with strong communication skills and a responsible, child-focused attitude.
You’ll also be:
- Reliable, punctual and trustworthy
- Able to follow policies, procedures and safeguarding requirements
- Confident working as part of a team
- Organised, attentive and adaptable
Previous experience in childcare, education, safeguarding and/or sports coaching is a bonus, but not essential — full training will be provided. We also run holiday camps during school breaks, offering opportunities for additional hours if desired.
Hours on:
- Afternoon: 3:00pm – 6:00pm
- Potential for school hours work too for the right candidate
Safeguarding & Compliance
