Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring surveillance systems, preventing loss, and responding effectively to emergencies. Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorised access and identify potential security risks
- Monitor CCTV systems continuously to observe activity and respond promptly to any suspicious behaviour
- Implement loss prevention strategies by overseeing access points and managing visitor logs
- Respond swiftly and appropriately to security incidents or emergencies, including medical situations requiring first aid
- Record detailed reports of incidents, observations, and security breaches for future reference
- Enforce company policies regarding safety procedures and conduct security checks as required
- Liaise with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary to ensure swift resolution of issues
Experience
- Previous experience in security or surveillance roles is preferred but not essential; training will be provided where necessary
- Knowledge of CCTV operation and surveillance techniques is advantageous
- Familiarity with loss prevention methods and security protocols is desirable
- Basic first aid certification or willingness to obtain certification is highly valued
- Strong observational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential qualities for success in this role
