Keptie Bakery - We are a small multi award winning family bakery with 3 shops throughout Angus. Our head office and bakehouse is based in Letham and our other shops can be found in Arbroath and Brechin.
We also supply many local cafes, bistros, newsagents and even castles throughout Angus. We buy quality local ingredients and use traditional methods. We are massive supporters of shopping local and practice what we preach, we buy local where we can. Angus has so much to offer with many great local suppliers.
We care about our staff and our community and run a charity waste scheme. Keptie Bakery is a family run business where our staff matter and are not simply just a number.
We have the following position available:-
*Bakery Cleaner (part-time) - 16hrs per week (may increase to 20 hrs)
Hours - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 11.30pm - 2.30pm & Saturday 5.30am - 9.30am (if increased to 20hrs in the future, start time would be 10.30am Tues - Fri)
The successful candidate must be able to work as part of a team as well as working independently. They must be available, reliable, physically fit and will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of our bakehouse and office areas as well as taking control of deliveries, putting stock away and organizing the stock. Our staff are expected to work to a high standards, have good presentation skills and thrive working as part of a small team. Flexibility is a must to help cover for holidays and sickness periods. This is a permanent position and will not suit a student.
The role includes:-
Within the bakery area - Cleaning tables, floors, storage tubs, storage boxes, shelves, walls and equipment, and washing dishes and bakery boards, racks, wires etc.
Within the office area – Cleaning toilets and locker area’s by hovering, sweeping, mopping and dusting using the provided chemicals as per training.
Within the dry store area – Dusting and cleaning shelving units, sweeping, hovering and mopping floors and also responsible for stairwell.
External store areas – Dusting and cleaning shelving units, sweeping, hovering and mopping floors and also responsible for keeping outside spaces clean and tidy.
Ensuring bins are put out on the correct days for collection then returning to storage locations.
Receiving bakery deliveries and responsible for putting stock away in an organized way and fully rotating stock.
Following all food hygiene policies.
