Little Acorns Montessori provides a warm, caring, and stimulating environment for children aged 0–5. We follow the Montessori approach alongside the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, supporting each child’s individual development.
As Room Leader, you'll take day-to-day responsibility for the Toddler Room — leading a team of key workers, planning a rich and age-appropriate curriculum, and building strong relationships with children, parents and carers.
- Lead, mentor and organise the Toddler Room team, modelling excellent practice at all times
- Plan and deliver a Montessori-inspired curriculum tailored to toddlers' individual needs and interests
- Act as key person to a small group of children, building close, secure relationships with them and their families
- Maintain accurate observations, learning journals and development records
- Ensure the room runs safely and to a high standard of hygiene, in line with EYFS and safeguarding requirements
- Work closely with the Nursery Manager and SENCO to support children with additional needs
- Build positive, communicative relationships with parents and carers
About you
- Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent
- Previous experience leading or co-leading a room, ideally with toddlers
- Montessori training, qualification or hands-on experience is highly desirable
- Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding practice
- Warm, patient and genuinely passionate about early childhood development
- A strong team player with good communication skills and a calm, organised approach
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
