We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Pub Managers and Management Teams to run a selection of traditional pubs and inns across Leeds and wider West Yorkshire. We operate a diverse estate ranging from village inns and community pubs to historic coaching inns with guest accommodation. Each pub offers the opportunity to deliver genuine hospitality while maintaining the traditional values and standards for which Samuel Smith's is renowned.
These are hands-on management roles suited to individuals or couples who enjoy working directly with customers, leading by example, and creating welcoming environments where people can enjoy quality food, drink and hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Full responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the pub.
- Creating a warm, welcoming and well-managed environment for customers.
- Leading and motivating staff to deliver excellent customer service.
- Managing food service operations where applicable and ensuring consistently high standards are maintained.
- Upholding brewery policies, standards and values.
- Promoting and maintaining the quality of Samuel Smith's beers and ales.
- Basic financial administration, stock control and cellar management.
- Ensuring the pubs are maintained to a high standard.
- Building strong relationships within the local community and encouraging repeat business.
About You
- Previous experience in pub, hotel, restaurant or hospitality management.
- Strong leadership and people-management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Knowledge of food service operations is advantageous.
- A practical, hands-on approach to managing a hospitality business.
- A genuine passion for traditional pubs and delivering great customer experiences.
- Willingness to live on-site where accommodation is provided.

- Salary £28,750 per person
- Rent free accommodation with utility bills paid by the brewery

Pay: £28,725.00 per year
