Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Night Care Assistant to provide high-quality care and support during overnight hours. In this vital role, you will ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of residents in a care home environment or through home care services. Responsibilities
- Monitor residents’ safety and well-being throughout the night, responding promptly to their needs or emergencies
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as toileting, mobility, and hygiene, respecting their dignity and privacy
- Follow individual care plans meticulously to deliver tailored support aligned with each resident’s requirements
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, incidents, and any changes in residents’ conditions using IT systems or paper logs
- Communicate effectively with team members, family members, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
- Support residents in maintaining a comfortable environment by adjusting lighting, temperature, and ensuring cleanliness
- Assist with medication management as per training and care plans when required
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided
- Strong communication skills in English to interact confidently with residents, families, and team members
- Ability to work independently during night shifts while remaining alert and attentive at all times
- Basic IT skills for recording care activities and updating electronic records accurately
- Knowledge of care plans and procedures related to elderly or vulnerable individuals is desirable

Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour
Expected hours: 24.0 – 36.0 per week
