TITLE: Sous Chef – Independent Gastro Pub Group – Essex

I am proud to be representing this Essex based client who is a busy gastro pub serving fresh food to a high standard. This gastro pub is part of a family-owned group all offering a similar concept.
This group is going from strength to strength and looking to continue its expansion so you would be joining at an opportunistic time being able to grow with the company.
SOUS CHEF POSITION:
As the Sous Chef, you will be supporting the Head Chef with overseeingthe day-to-day management of the kitchen and its team, ensuring that theexisting high standards are maintained within this established venue.
You will need experience of a fast-paced environment, knowledge of freshfood preparation and service and have a strong understanding of labour control,stock management and ordering.
You will be expected to:
-Be able to prepare, cook and run every section
-To oversee the kitchen team ensuringall members manage their sections and work in a clean tidy and efficient manner
-To learn new dishes and new styles andconsistently strive to be the leading edge in food fashion.
-Working approximately 45 hours per week
-Training & development of juniorteam members
-Maintaining very high standards of foodhygiene / allergen requirements and health & safety guidelines.
