Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Lunchtime Assistant to join our team at Childrensworld UK Limited in Newport, Shifnal and Telford. This role is vital in ensuring children enjoy a safe and enjoyable lunch period, contributing to their overall well-being and development. The Lunchtime Assistant will work closely with staff to create a positive environment during meal times.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and serving of meals to children in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Support children during lunch, encouraging good manners and social interaction.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas before, during, and after meal times.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children while they eat.
- Support staff in managing children's behavior during lunch periods.
- Help with setting up lunch areas and tidying up after meals.
- Promote a friendly and inclusive atmosphere for all children during mealtimes.
- Qualifications
- Previous experience working with children or in a childcare setting is preferred.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Friendly, patient, and caring attitude.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food handling is desirable.
- Flexibility to support various shifts if needed.
- Basic understanding of child development principles is advantageous.
