Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Engineer specialized in wide format printers to join our dynamic technical team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of large-scale printing equipment used for producing high-quality graphics, signage, and displays. Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup, calibration, and installation of wide format printers according to manufacturer specifications and schematics.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to keep printers operating efficiently, including cleaning, replacing parts, and checking mechanical components.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues using hand tools and diagnostic software to identify root causes of equipment malfunctions.
- Support computer hardware and software updates related to printing systems, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to facilitate repairs and adjustments.
- Conduct equipment repairs promptly to minimize downtime, including replacing worn or damaged parts and repairing mechanical or electronic faults.
- Assist with network connectivity issues related to computer networking of printing devices, ensuring seamless integration with office systems.
- Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections accurately for record-keeping and future reference.
Experience
- Basic mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools for equipment repair or maintenance.
- Familiarity with computer hardware components and troubleshooting techniques.
- Understanding of schematics, wiring diagrams, or technical manuals is preferred.
- Experience working with computer repair or maintenance is advantageous.
- Knowledge of computer networking principles relevant to connecting printers within a network environment.
- Prior exposure to equipment repair or technical support roles is a plus but not mandatory; we value eagerness to learn!
