Waking Night Support Worker – Autism
Location: Preston | Salary: £14.00 per hour (unqualified) / £14.70 per hour (qualified) + enhancements | Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week,
Join our dedicated team at our established school for young people with Autism and Complex Needs just outside of Preston. Play a vital role in creating a warm, supportive setting where children can thrive, learn new skills, and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver personalised, compassionate support to children and young people with a range of complex needs, including Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
- Assist with night time living activities, promoting independence and positive behaviour.
- Support the development of life skills, education, and social engagement.
- Work closely with the team to create a nurturing, stimulating environment.
- Follow individual care plans and contribute to the overall wellbeing of residents.
Essential Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence.
- Passionate about helping children and young people.
- No specific qualifications necessary, though an interest in ongoing training and professional development is encouraged.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a care or educational setting.
- Relevant Qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 or 5 (or willingness to train).
