ROLE: Maintenance Technician
HOURS: 42 hours per week
LOCATION: Leeds

We're looking for a Maintenance Technician who will carry out general maintenance duties, supporting facilities operations across Leeds (LS11 8BU) with possible travel to Normanton and Carr Gate sites within a 10-mile radius, ensuring buildings and equipment are maintained to a high standard.
Role Responsibilities:-
Carry out general porterage, cleaning support where required, decorating duties as requested by the Facilities Manager, and maintain internal and external entrances and surrounding areas

Undertake routine checks on plant and equipment to ensure optimum operating conditions are achieved

Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on a regular basis in line with schedules and requirements

Carry out building fabric activities including patch repairs, minor plumbing and carpentry, painting, and decorating tasks

Ensure all maintenance and repair work is completed in line with safety standards, compliance requirements, and site expectations
Required Qualifications:
Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role:

Previous experience as a handy person or in a general maintenance role with broad practical skills

Experience working in a customer-facing environment

Physical dexterity and manual handling capability

Full valid driving licence
-
Ability to meet West Yorkshire Police vetting requirements
