Are you passionate about classic cars? Do you have a knack for precision and attention to detail? Peacock Prestige are looking for experienced Paint Technicians to join our new team in Coventry.
We are a specialist workshop with a renowned reputation for Classic & Sports Car Paint Finishing and Heritage Vehicle Restoration, now under new management. All of our work is to the highest possible standard so all applicants must meet our criteria.
We are looking for punctual, hard-working skilled individuals with experience in automotive paint spraying and classic car restoration. Our Paint Technicians will be working under our Senior Paint Technicians at our Coventry workshop, working on restoration projects and developing their skills further.
Successful candidates will be expected to start in Autumn 2026.
As a Paint Sprayer, you'll be responsible for ensuring the flawless finish of our restored classics. Your duties will include:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, filling and applying primer
- Collaborating with our restoration team to achieve the perfect finish
- Mix and prep paint using precise measurements; working with both solvent based and water based solutions
- Apply paint to vehicles using the most up-to-date painting techniques
- Ensure a perfect mirror finish every time using expert polishing methods
- Follow safety guidelines and use protective equipment when handling paints and chemicals
- Maintain a clean and organised work area
Experience:
- Previous experience in auto restoration, welding, filler work, or automotive painting
- Knowledge of automotive repair and mechanics
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
