Job Overview
We are seeking reliable and hardworking Waste Management Picking Line Operative to join our recycling and waste processing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sorting and separating recyclable materials from a moving conveyor belt while ensuring high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Sort and separate recyclable materials including plastics, paper, cardboard, metals, and other waste streams.
- Remove non-recyclable or contaminated items from the picking line.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures and wear the required PPE.
- Report any equipment faults, hazards, or contamination issues to supervisors.
- Work efficiently as part of a team to meet daily production targets.
- Assist with general housekeeping duties around the facility as required.
Requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods.
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively within a team.
- Awareness of health and safety practices is advantageous.
